I am going to leave this up for one more day, check back Wednesday for more info.
What an adventure this is going to be. I think the biggest series of cropping events to travel all across Canada. I am so beyond excited to have the first one in Saskatoon. And to have a team of 6 people that are going to travel to every event to make them the utmost success is really important and I am blessed to be a part of this team.Don't forget to go to facebook and click "like" on Crop & Create, and also Crop & Create Saskatoon event. We are going to really be making this interactive this year with prizes from our amazing manufacturers, challenges, fun discussions. It will ROCK! So without further ado, let's get started.
Let's introduce our instructors. Now I am including lot's of links. Links to their bios (click the name) and links to their blogs.
Back to Saskatoon with popular demand is Canada's gem...
This girl has been rocking out the classes that everyone can anyone can learn from and walk away feeling confident to try a technique they learned. She is kind, passionate and easy going in her classes.I am so proud of her as she is coming out with her first book pretty soon. I know it is going to rock!!!!!!
I love the fact that when you take a Vicki class you are challenged, you complete lot's of projects and you are excited to go home and find pics to fill them. I absolutely LOVE every class I've taken from her.
Definitely go and check out her style, you are sure to like it.
here is a few of her latest layouts she has done, so you can get a feel of her style. (thanks Vick, I borrowed them off your blog, so if you want to see more goodness, DEFINITELY go check out her blog. Hello EYE CANDY!)
The following ladies have NEVER been to Saskatoon. So that is just HUGE, The following Americans really rock the Scrapbook World. They have all been published an unbelievable amount of times, travelled the world and have published books, and in some cases multiple books.
I first met Becky years ago in Edmonton. Her class was very detailed oriented, her measurements given top notch and the 2 projects were awesome. It was definitely out of my box since I am more the chick that uses my finger nails to mark where I want to cut. So for me, I learned a lot in this class, was pushed out of my comfort zone and HAVE NEVER LOOKED BACK. I still don't measure very well, BUT I also think I can't possibly live without Becky's 2 Page Maps Sketch books. They are like my staple I never leave home without. Since that first meeting I have had the fantastic luck to be able to be her TA for classes and then teach at same events as her. Big milestone for me. And now, every time I get to see her, I smile, because I know she is pure, true and really one of the neatest women I have ever met.
Some of her latest designs I LOVE are these (borrowed from the Scrapbook & Cards Today website, THANKS!)
I LOVE this concept of simplicity, repetition and calm colours. I totally thought the little yellow butterfly ROCKED cause it stands out perfectly.
What a great piece that we could use in our own scrapbooking. Think of adding this twist, replace the butterflies with other punch shapes. Sweet. the possibilities are endless.
Check out this FABULOUS layout she did. See anything you recognize?
The bottom left hand panel has those delightful repetitive butterflies on it. So two different ways to use the same concept.
LOVE it!!!!
When she teaches at Crop & Create, you are going to be taking the best Sketch class you could possibly ever take. I cannot wait!!!!
I have not yet had the chance to meet this talented lady on a personal level, so I am looking forward to this upcoming year. She is beyond talented and creative. Right now she is working on her fourth book. WOW! That is a lot of inspiration.
Her books are:
Scrapbook Secrets
Remember This
175 Fresh Card Ideas
I have been told she is THE GURU for Card making. How exciting. I find I struggle the most when creating cards, so after spending some quality time on her website, I left with a confidence to try more. Here are a few of my favourite cards of hers.(borrowed from her site and Scrapbook & Cards Today, thanks!)
Last but NOT LEAST...
I have to say honestly I ADORE Kelly Goree. I met her about 7 years ago, and fell in love with her style, her personality, her southern hospitality and accent. I will be totally upfront too, I didn't realize she was following my blog after we met and she sent me an email and I almost peed my pants. I was so floored, I think I kept it for about 4 years as one of the coolest things I had happen in this industry. Then I had a cool honour again when she scrapbooked a photo of us for a publication in Scrapbook Trends mini album issue. That was pretty darn cool. THANKS KELLY!
Anyways.
Her style is timeless and stunning, her boys are just so cute and her photography skills are awesome! Definitely a girl to bookmark in your blog roll. You will not be disappointed.
Some work of hers I LOVED.(I borrowed off of her blog, Thanks Kelly!)
(this was one inspired by a sketch course she is taking, see everyone enjoys a good sketch!)
