I cannot put this beautiful friend out of my head this week. Unfortunately it is not for the best of circumstances. So I thought I would definitely honour her with happiness and complete adoration instead of feeling sad, worried and non stop crying. 

My dear sweet friend suffered a heart attack this week. She is SOOOOOO young, and beautiful and the most genuine, caring girl I know. I have enjoyed getting to know her over the last 6ish years and really enjoy anytime we visit in person. We have and are on many similar design teams, so even though she has moved to BC, we still keep in contact through msg boards daily. Her husband has said that she is recovering and they hope she will be home soon.  I know I believe in the power of prayer and I believe in positive thinking, and I know this fabulous girl had the numbers on her side,cause everyone I know loves Cari. But let's keep praying for her to recover well and be back to the marathon running, giving extra hugs mommy and the girl whose smile makes you feel like a million bucks!

So today, it seemed only natural to dedicate the day to her. Get well Cari, and can't wait till you are scrapping up a storm. :)

this is something new I thought I would try to do every Sunday. Now that my life has slowed down in a nice flight pattern (lol) and hopefully less trouble with my internet server, there are a few things I really want to get back into on my blog. These are:

• updating my project 365, and sharing the lists I started once a time ago. I love the lists. So we'll try to be more regular with that.
• sharing more of the links for design team blogs I do and my teams work as well. 
• keeping you updated on challenges, contests and design team stuff.
• showing more of my projects I do.
• ALSO sharing with you my project 100. This hopefully will keep me on task. fingers crossed.
• but last but not least, sharing with you each week scrapbookers that really inspire me. Or layouts I would love to pay hommage to that I admire that other scrapbookers did.  

****Now keep in mind with the last one, when ideas are put on the internet and you try them out. If you post them for people to see you should ALWAYS say where you got the idea from or who inspired you. Give credit where credit is due. Plus then no copyright infringements have taken place. Just a thought. ****

 

So this week I just couldn't stop thinking of Sheri Reguly. She is one of the newest design team members for Scrapbook & Cards Today- Canada's Leading Scrapbook Magazine.

She was asked to interpret this Becky Fleck sketch.

Sheri changed it to suit her photo needs, in this case she only used the left hand side of the page. I looked at this layout and fell in LOVE. Instantly I knew that I wanted to create a layout that was inspired by this. Not only is the photo AMAZING, as Sheri is a GREAT photographer, but the muted colours are so neat an attractive. I lately have been using bright, bold colours. But this is OUT of my BOX. So I felt inspired to want to try and create my own muted layout. What a clean and beautifully designed layout. LOVE IT!

I hope you like this new feature, I feel strongly that there are so many outstanding scrapbookers out there that really deserved a little acknowledgement. So I will pay my own tributes. Cheers.
