I always like the photo to be the star of the layout, so I tend to blow up the size of my photos. Here I used a 9x9. Love it!
It came so quickly together. I used the My Minds Eye-Lush Red Circles pp and used the front & back. I cut some black cogs using Sizzix's Gadget Gears die.
I am coming to teach at the end of this month!!!!! I will be at Brandon & Winnipeg.
(check with stores for all pricing)

So make sure you check with each of the three stores for pricing, confirm days and times! I am excited to come back!!!! We will have LOT'S of Fun!
and I am rocking it out. scrapping up a storm. hahahaha I am laughing because it is 2:18am, no one is awake and of course I can create. There are no distractions or little hands that want to play with scissors and say oh i don't know, ... give herself a haircut again!!!
I finally cut it, to attempt to even it out. It is short, boy short, but it is really growing on me. I even styled it one day and gave her a faux-hawk and she rocked it! so we'll go with the flow. easy rider... no worries...
before: (cutesy little doll mommy liked to play hairdresser with... I blame myself completely.)
after: I cut it as short as I could without shaving it to blend in the sides. We are going to go for the twiggy look. she looks so different! but oooh don'tcha want to give her cheeks a little squeeze? and yes, she looks innocent, but ooooh we know different.
I am so beyond organized in some ways, yesterday I felt like working with Crate Paper, so I pulled out my Neatnix container that holds my Crate Paper. And I found once I finished a layout of baby girl, I didn't want to stop using Crate, so I created some more... do you ever get like that?
so I did one of Ryguy. (Riley- that is just our nickname of what we call him)
(supply list: Crate Paper- Little Sprout collection; pp, stickers, die cuts.American Crafts Slick writer and Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L foam squares and tape runner)
see the pattern so far with my layouts this 2011... quick & easy, tell the story and enjoy the simplicity. simplify. I am trying. It was especially easy because Maki created this photo collage for me from our photo shoot, so it made the process go by faster. don't get me wrong, when I find time, I am going to devote it to some intense layouts, canvas work, oil painting but until then I like completing layouts in an hour -90 min. It is exhilarating!
So off you go, do something that is going to make you smile, laugh or feel just darn good about yourself!
well as my close friends heard me complain all day, can I have a "do-over'. It seemed a fair request. lol. Ok, the good news is today ended on a good note. during the day well it had its ups and downs, all things I could not control. but c'est la vie!!!!!!
Let's move on.
Project Life 365 has been going well, I'm posting all my pics so far on my artist facebook site: Leica Forrest Scrapbooking. so follow if it interests you.
Yesterday I mentioned that I am going to incorporate some lists into my memories. I asked you to list pets you have had. Being on the farm we went through a tremendous amount of cats, they came and went and sadly some didn't escape predators or other Tom cats, so I can't possibly remember all their names, but the pets that stick out for me are:
Popcorn- (Dalmation dog)
Freckles- (Dalmation dog)
Thumper- (rabbit)
Porkchop (our Japanese fighting fish- I do believe my bro suggested the name for it, it stuck because we all laughed when we said it)
(pets that are my parents that my family pretends are ours: lol but the kids have developed quite attachments so it would be wrong if I didn't record them)
Ginger- golden labrador dog (riley's pet)
Jack Sparrow the Second (Jager's cat that was given to us by Jennifer Fast. HE LOVES IT!!!! we will always be thankful. And for those of you curious, he did name it himself, and yes there was a Jack Sparrow the first however, he wasn't fast enough to escape a cows foot, and of course Riley witnessed it and had to report all the gruesome details to Jager, a sad time in our family)
Oreo- black cat( Riley's didn't make the winter. :( )
*** sad to note but at least the kids are learning reality and how they have to learn to cope.
Here's another layout I did this year that I enjoyed. It is using Crate Paper. I LOVE CRATE PAPER. the texture of the paper has always had me from hello. And the best part is it is so different from my Style, but I like it, carefree and whimsical like baby girl.
(supplies used:Crate Paper- Little Sprout Collection, alphas, pp, die cuts. Fiskars circle punches, Clearsnap ink-dark brown, Ranger Distress Crackle paint in old paper, American Crafts slick writer, Scrapbook Adhesives by 3l)
I have also started following Fly lady more loyally. I tried this last year...for a minute. I was too busy to be loyal. This year I have prioritized a little better so I am concentrating hard. I thought it was quack having to scrub my sink before bed that intensely, however I do enjoy seeing it clean and empty the next day AND after watching hoarders tonight, I like it even better. Seriously could that show get any worse????
Have a great creative day! i am looking forward to a new day!
