6x12 YES I still do them!!!

The reason why I still create them- sometimes I have pictures I love, but not enough to write about, maybe only 1 photo, maybe no pictures at all. Doesn't mean it isn't a memory I want to forget. These 6x 12 pages just sneak right into the albums so nicely. LOVE THEM!!!!

The best part about these layouts is they really take about 10-15min to complete at most. This little honeycomb is a cute die Sizzix Frameworks Die - Honeycomb. Usually I use in insides, but today I used the outsides.

About 8 years ago, I came up with a plan to have less waste when I scrapbook. So immediately once I have finished a 12 x 12 layout, I look to see what I can do with my scraps. If there is a piece big enough for a 6x12- I immediately cut it to that size. Then I save it. If the pieces can make a photo mat- I put that in a photo mat box. If it is smaller, it goes in the scrap pile. By having the pieces sorted, it's easier to accomplish more with less.

Happy Halloween- 6 x 12

Here's another one using up my scraps. fun layering. When working with this size of layouts, you can use small scraps of paper and ribbons. It is a great way to share photos you may not have a lot to say about.

Cinderella 6x12 layout

Still on my 6 x 12 kick, have a few more to show you. Thanks for stopping by.

This one is using an older line from Kaisercraft. Have such a love for that company! Neat colour combo of purple and green. So to accent it further I made my butterflies out of green as well. I think they pop out a bit more. I love using these butterflies Sizzix Movers & Shapers Magnetic Die Set 2PK - Mini Butterflies Set. I cut out multiples and then layer them. Then it looks like they are flying.

"Hello" 6 x 12 layout

I love creating this fun size of layouts. They are so much fun!!!

Another 6x12 layout up on the blog. I just adore this size!!! Here's a closeup of this word. love it! It comes out of this collection Sizzix Thinlits Die Set 7PK - You & Me.

Then I cut these small flowers out. Sizzix Bigz Die - Flower #3. Then I layered Kaisercraft paper flowers on top of them. Just fun. When I create black and white layouts, I always love to combine them with drastic colour to create a powerful punch. in this case I even broke out the Copic markers and coloured on the background pp.

6 x 12- Farm Life

This week has been all about using odds & ends and getting things done. I've told you before, but I'll say it again. When I have large leftovers, I immediately make a 6x12 scrapbook layout, then put the rest in my tag/card making drawers. I love interweaving the unique sizes in between our album pages. They give great and funky dimensions.
