I am not a antique lover at all. It doesn't interest me to drive around looking at them. However, I am fascinated with what used to belong to my grandparents. I could spend all day looking at things they once owned, wondering what they looked like when they were new. I imagine what their life must have been like. I miss my grandparents dearly, so I always feel closest to them when I am wandering around the old cars.
So let's start the creating! Do you love feathers? Check out this epic die. Sizzix Thinlits Plus Die Set 4PK - Botanical Leaves & Vines.
Make sure you are gentle when you take out the die. I have been careless and tried to rush it, and then it rips. So just be patient and take your time.
I love this die. It is so beautiful. The curves of the feather are stunning.
I didn't want to use a die that would take away from the photo and be overpowering, so by using this feather which is kind of like a skeleton, it was whimsical and light, adding the effect amount of colour. I like when the dies intertwine with the photos too.
I dressed up the feather too by adding pearls.
Then I wanted to sneak a date in there somewhere, so I used a punch. The layout is full of neutrals in colour, so by adding pops of teal and pink, it brightens it up a bit. The punch I used was the Sizzix Paper Punch - Seal, Large. It is the perfect size for a teeny bit of journaling.
Look a little closer at this title. I love layering different fonts and dies together. You will need Sizzix Thinlits Die Set 6PK - Word Circles #2 and Sizzix Bigz XL Alphabet Die - Typo Lower .
By the way, go to Sizzix blog today, I have a post on it. http://www.sizzix.com/blog/scrapbooking-inspiration/.
