hello homemade goodness!~
This holiday has been beyond enjoyable! seriously. I have had 8 months of intense studying, and really not getting much "play time' in my craft closet. I MISSED it! I tell you, I even appreciate how awesome it feels to just have fun. And guess what? I crafted up a storm. I did like 15 projects and cannot wait to show you guys. I have to say, quite a few are for Valentine's- which is crazy weird since I am not really into the commercial holiday. But the kids want to decorate for it, so of course, I can get into the spirit!
I just love decorating mason jars. Paint them, decorate them, give them as gifts.
Step 1: paint the jar with crackle paint. Let completely dry. Then cover it with mod podge to seal the paint in so that it doesn't chip off.
Step 2: put a jar label on. I used this die set: Sizzix Bigz Die w/Bonus Textured Impressions - Jar Labels
Step 3: make sure you create a label for the lid. Cut the jar lids first. I used the large size. Then I felt like making it fun, so I cut a "title" with this die Sizzix Bigz Die - Jar LidPhrases, Delish & 2 Go. Wrap the lid with Baker's Twine a few times. This gives a rustic look.
Step 4: Decorate with rhinestones and I wrote "sweet treats". Isn't this a cute way to give someone a jar full of chocolates or cookies?
Thanks for looking everyone!
