Gingerbread men gift bags

There are so many fun ways to decorate for Christmas. I did most of the crafting/decorating with the kids, they really were into it this year. One day a few of the neighborhood kids came over and had fun too. Great times!

This was a fun one with the kids. To make the snowflakes I had saved all our scraps from cutting out snowflakes. Then we inked the negatives all over the bags. The kids LOVED this one. They couldn't go wrong. There was no "right" way to do it.

Place the negative ON the paper bag. To get this negative, I had used the snowflake die Sizzix Bigz L Die - Stacked Snowflakes. It is my FAVOURITE snowflake die!!! You get 4 different ones that are beautiful.

Choose your favourite ink. I used a medium coloured blue. Dab all over the bag. It can be random.

Then I cut out a recipe card. I used this die: Sizzix Bigz Die - Recipe Card& Label I like having lines when I write my recipes, but a neat way to make this happen is to use an embossing folder. Decorate the recipe card. I know I am giving this as a gift so I wanted it to look pretty. I cut the file tab out of red Core'dinations Glitter cardstock. I had made lot's and lot's of these holly and berries this Christmas. It was kind of our family theme I think on all the presents. ;)

Now write out the recipe. I decorated the bag with a gingerbread man as well. I used this gingerbread man: Sizzix Bigz Die w/Bonus Sizzlits Die - Gingerbread Man& Merry Christmas. This Gingerbread man comes with little dies that make decorations on the gingerbread man. But I didn't use those this time, instead I used a white paint and Kaisercraft rhinestones. Just something different.
