YES YES YES!
I have to say I was completely flabbergasted when Tammy asked me to join. Right now I am feeling the pressure a bit. Have you seen how AMAZING the team is? OH MY WORD!!!!!!!!!
Make sure you take a sec to check out their dies, they are simply AWESOME!!!!! click here to see them.
Coming off a fantastic 5 weeks of teaching, and only being home for 2.5 days in that was a little hard. I always love spending every minute with the family. Now I have a nice break till the end of the month to catch up life, and start creating for Sizzix! and another fun thing to share on Friday...
Life is going pretty darn good for me right now, which is cool. I've been asked to stay on with Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L & Core'dinations again. I don't think I will ever be able to say goodbye to these 2 when the time comes. I've moved into a "Special Projects" position with Core, which I am pretty stoked about. The teaching, demoing and CHA boothwork projects really are my thing. And I joined one more team "officially". You will see on Friday. They are a staple for me in all my teaching an personal projects. I'm sure some of you will be able to figure it out.
So I was trying to think of something out of my box for my first Sizzix tutorial. I wanted to do colours I don't usually pair together frequently, as well as maybe a different way to use the dies. So here's what I did.
This is one of the few pictures I have with my gramma. She really just doesn't pose much for photos. So I wanted to capture her feminine side. Which is the reason why I made the overall look of the layout pastel. Then by creating the flowers out of the same colours, only more intense in their values, the flowers really POP!
Start cutting lot's of flowers and leaves in the 3 different cardstock colours. This is one of my favourite dies! click here to see the die.
Then DO NOT throw out the leftovers. Your papers will look like these below.
Instead cut around them leaving approx. 1/4".
Then once everything is cut out, nest them into each other. This is where the fun comes in. Mix and match colours. and then when you adhere them down, DON'T glue them completely down, leave some free edge unglued, so you can manipulate the petals to make it pop and stand out even more.
you can even mix and match with the tags too!
See how that really makes the images look different? give it a try! You will LOVE the result!
Can't wait to come up with our fun ways to use my Sizzix dies. See you next time!

Leica you always create beautiful projects! I love the way you left the edges of the petals loose. What a wonderful Sizzix project! Can't wait for your announcement on Friday.
