I sure don't mind if you feel inspired to create something similar to what you saw on my site, just keep in mind always give credit where its due. THANKS!
Start off with the black & white striped pp. I placed my lines horizontally.
Next cut the Tillie Snowflake Core'dinations Cardstock (large white dotted cardstock) down to a 9x10. Mat it in black cardstock.
Use your E-Z Runner to adhere it to the background. Don't be stingy! The Luxe paper has a bit of a foil quality to it, so you want it to adhere well!
Adhere it to the background paper.Pretty much centered.
Then die cut the numbers out of Glitter Silk.
Then to create a long 12" border you will need to die cut the same die on the same side since it is only around 6" long. Do this for both strips.
I placed the second pink border strip down approx 4"away from the one on the left.
Cut a 4x12 piece of the black 7 white chevron and place down the center of the pink borders.
Now mat the photos in the teal cardstock. I used the Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L 3D Foam Squares to make the photos pop.
I also put them on the flowers.
I don't have a clear shot of how I adhered my flourished with the Adhesive Sheets. Sorry, but with things small and intricate like that, I always use that AWESOME product. My absolute favourite adhesive ever!
So a huge shout out to my mom!!! Love her!!!! Our life would not succeed, function, exist without her help! I simply adore my momma!
I did this layout I think 2 years ago using Glitz Design & Core'dinations Colorcore Cardstock. Still love it!
So why not create a bouquet out of paper flowers? Lot's of flower petal layers.
start out by getting out your Core'dinations Colorcore Cardstock and die cutting as many flower petals & leaves as you think you will need. I mix and matched colours. Remember, try to make as much dimension as possible, so use Cardstock like Core'dinations, so you can sand it, emboss it, ink it, or try their patterned cardstock. You will have more choices on what your flowers will look like.
Now start creating flowers. I like to ink where I am going to manipulate the petals. For this flower below, it is kind of any easy decision. this flower is called the 3D Fringed Flower from Sizzix.
(sorry this next picture I took at night, tried to brighten it, but not really successful) But you get the idea of what it should start looking like.
Now you need to create something to arrange your flowers on. I purchased a foam ball, but I don't want the white to show through, so I covered it with a green tulle.
Once the entire thing is covered it should look like this. (keep in mind, I didn't cover the bottom since it would be adhered into the pot.)
Not start pinning the flowers all over. I chose to use the Trinket Pins by Maya Road for the flower centres, that way it looked pretty AND I had a way to adhere them.
Here's the finished look again! Hope you enjoy and have a FANTASTIC Mother's Day!
I am coming to teach at the end of this month!!!!! I will be at Brandon & Winnipeg.

So make sure you check with each of the three stores for pricing, confirm days and times! I am excited to come back!!!! We will have LOT'S of Fun!
So desperately trying to get back into blogging. I have to admit, its been much easier to facebook, instagram, tweet and pinterest. They are so much faster and can be done on your phone. But the reality is I have so much to share.
Let's start with the depressing first and work up to the fun stuff.
Dentist and Endodontist. I have spent more time with them this month then outings with my husband. sad to say but true. 12 times! I'm a clencher, and we've figured it out it'sall because of my roots which seem to go to timbuktu! Plus that and a huge issue of freezing only lasting approx.22 min. creates HUGE problems and I usually am left crying like a baby! One goal in sight, fix all the cracks that clenching has done to my teeth and get a new mouthguard.
The picture below cracks me up. I took it because a friend was making fun of how terrified I am of dental work. So I took a pic of myself. Another friend called this my CSI crime scene photo. lol.
yeppers call me pansy.
but pretty soon I will have like bionic teeth. seriously.
However if you need endo work in Saskatoon, I beyond highly recommend Dr. Plain in Midtown Plaza tower, 5th floor. Unbelievable dude. seriously didn't cry once.
Now for better news, my kids have all been dancing; boys in hip hop and pips in ballet/tap. And the competitions have started. The boys placed Silver in their first competition and gold in the last one with Best choreography. Pretty darn cool!
Ireland did a whole little photo shoot with her besties from school, so I will probably have those to share later. But i did have fun taking a few of these. She was so rockstar happy because she got to wear makeup!
These adorable little girls came with their mommies to our house and I curled all their hair. It was a great morning!
Well we went to Edmonton for their second dance competition~ FUN TIMES!
Of course we spent a day at the mall. Yeppers, this momma is a ride junkie with 2 seriously brave kids that will do any adrenaline pumping ride, and one little red head who will contemplate the risk factor of the ride. Some fast ones he does, some you can't even pay him to ...yes I've tried. put $5 on the table for one. wasn't worth it to him. lol
But their faces are AWESOME!!!!!
I can giggle forever when Ireland tells me she doesn't know where her stomach went. But she's sure it left her body cause she felt it move. kids. and the funny things they say.
of course Riley trying to make it look so easy...
and then every once in a while the skies part and your oldest child "lets" you take a smiling picture. This kid used to pose for me non stop. our little model. now he's getting stingy. So I have to always be ready with him.Apparently in grade 4 it isn't cool...
Then it wouldn't be our house if we weren't doing some sort of experiment. Here we are growing "a lizard". This one was a hit. IT really did grow a little everyday. When it cracked out of the egg, it was monumental!
Now this image takes me back to my childhood days. We were always tying each other up and locking each other in rooms by the lasso. Jager has become quite the little man at tying knots. and getting into mischief as you see. Behind this door is a little hot tamale of a sister...who apparently doesn't like being tied in. Of course mom is beckoned "ever so sweetly by her adorable daughter" (aka yelling like a psycho at the top of her lungs) and I come up to see this. well glad I keep my phone in my bra. nice and handy for moments just as such.
Oh and you can't forget this photo. Little miss showing me what she thinks of the sweater dress I bought her. I ADORE it, she DETESTS it.
and I will leave you with this last one. We are movie junkies, more 3D than regular. Cannot get enough 3D. I will tell you this, if you ever get like me and are so sick of how many toys you have in your house, suggest movie passes for gifts. This year the kids received enough that our entire family could go to the movies around 11 times. BEST GIFT EVER!!!!!! The kids vouchers come with popcorn, drink and candy. And the time spent together is the best gift. Trust me, your kids remember this far more than gifts. Just a thought. IT's always on our wish list for presents.
Man it was fun to be back blogging. Maybe see you again soon....
I have to say I was completely flabbergasted when Tammy asked me to join. Right now I am feeling the pressure a bit. Have you seen how AMAZING the team is? OH MY WORD!!!!!!!!!
Make sure you take a sec to check out their dies, they are simply AWESOME!!!!! click here to see them.
Coming off a fantastic 5 weeks of teaching, and only being home for 2.5 days in that was a little hard. I always love spending every minute with the family. Now I have a nice break till the end of the month to catch up life, and start creating for Sizzix! and another fun thing to share on Friday...
Life is going pretty darn good for me right now, which is cool. I've been asked to stay on with Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L & Core'dinations again. I don't think I will ever be able to say goodbye to these 2 when the time comes. I've moved into a "Special Projects" position with Core, which I am pretty stoked about. The teaching, demoing and CHA boothwork projects really are my thing. And I joined one more team "officially". You will see on Friday. They are a staple for me in all my teaching an personal projects. I'm sure some of you will be able to figure it out.
So I was trying to think of something out of my box for my first Sizzix tutorial. I wanted to do colours I don't usually pair together frequently, as well as maybe a different way to use the dies. So here's what I did.
This is one of the few pictures I have with my gramma. She really just doesn't pose much for photos. So I wanted to capture her feminine side. Which is the reason why I made the overall look of the layout pastel. Then by creating the flowers out of the same colours, only more intense in their values, the flowers really POP!
Start cutting lot's of flowers and leaves in the 3 different cardstock colours. This is one of my favourite dies! click here to see the die.
Then DO NOT throw out the leftovers. Your papers will look like these below.
Instead cut around them leaving approx. 1/4".
Then once everything is cut out, nest them into each other. This is where the fun comes in. Mix and match colours. and then when you adhere them down, DON'T glue them completely down, leave some free edge unglued, so you can manipulate the petals to make it pop and stand out even more.
you can even mix and match with the tags too!
See how that really makes the images look different? give it a try! You will LOVE the result!
Can't wait to come up with our fun ways to use my Sizzix dies. See you next time!
and taking a minute to catch up! Phew, I was sure gone a long time teaching, and really really enjoyed my time everywhere!!!!!!!
Here's a quick recap in photos of my adventures. for anyone that wants to follow my daily adventures, I instagram all the time!
