ok, we've had some fabulous news in the Elian family.
My little bro, Shane & his gorgeous wife, Andrea had their first child. a BABY GIRL! SO now my parents have 6 little grandchildren. 4 boys, and 2 girls. I secretly was hoping for a girl. Either sex of course would have rocked, I LOVE my boys! But I really wanted Ireland to grow up with a little friend to play with at family outings.
So they named their little bundle of joy, "Sarah Grace Elian". (this hasn't been put officially to Sask Health yet, so it could change, but I doubt it.) She is so perfect too. I am so tickled to have a niece!
I came home and called friends to let them know about the bundle of joy, I then told Jim how I missed having a precious bumpkin in my arms. I LOVE babies. this stage ROCKS! I let him know that I could've kept having kids after holding this cutie for awhile. I imitated rocking the baby. Ireland was walking by, he picked her up put her in my arms and told me to rock my baby. Funny guy. yes, I think he also informed me & Natalie that I was on crack!
But oh, it's a hard love little babies.
So first weeks of school, they are flying by? it is getting brisk outside. We had meet the teacher night, see the classroom. This was fun. I love seeing how excited the kids are to show off. They also got a new playground set so that was fun to play on. I LOVE the smart boards in all the classrooms. Technology rocks!
We started off in Riley's class.
He had to show us how clean the inside of his desk was... (how long will that last I wonder?)
Then of course Riley had to give Ireland a little instruction on this months M.I.M.I. (Ireland watched with full admiration to learn as well.)
Now Ireland's turn to teach.
then it was off to Kindergarten, where apparently Jager is the little social butterfly. After about 10 minutes of "hi Jager", hello, hi, hello, I like your hair Jager, haha then we finally got to be shown around.
did you notice what little miss is wearing? She loves her outfit, she picked it out herself.yikes, she sure does love the layered look.
Of course Jager's favourite playcentre is the sand.
So a really big deal this summer was Jager getting rid of his training wheels on his bike. Last year we took them off, then he had the big crash of 2009 and back went the training wheels back on. Confidence was all gone. :( but all of a sudden his bravery came back. Along with many many times of falling, jim counted one day 41 bruises. but he says he has finally learnt it. "I can do it mom, really I can". I was gone for work, so when I came back one time he was soooo excited to show me. Now he shows anyone that comes over. Way to go Jag!!!! We are sooo proud of you. :)
Little Miss doesn't have a bike yet, we planned on getting her one, but summer came and went so fast, next year. But she was so content with riding her scooter to the park and back all the time.
Anyone know where they make helmets this small? Our smallest still falls off her.
What else has this week held? Well I am officially back to work. I took the summer off for a brief hiatus from scrapbooking. I needed it. I needed to come back fresh and I really needed just time with the kids, where they got mommy exclusively. I did a lot of traveling last year and I don't want to lose those "moments" or "regret" so much time away. SO I did scale back my travel a tad. The kids had 67 days off this summer. They spent 15 days at camp between French camps and VBS. Of course they always tell me the best part of summer was the 2 weeks they had at the farm. I bug them and say what about what I did with you, they laugh, tell me they love me, but mom, the farm is soooo cool. we built a fort, we worked hard with poppa. Anyways, at least I have the memories, and thousands of pics to remind them of how summer of 2010 was. hahaha
Back to work as usual , 32 hours so far this week of class kitting, packing for Calgary this weekend, preparing my 3 different blog posts this week for Tattered Angels, My Stamp Box and Scrapbook ADhesives by 3L. (I will post links to those when they go live this week) completing assignments for a few new companies. Those rock cause I got to use new pp that doesn't ship yet for a month. So when I can I will share those. We worked on webisodes last weekend. I LOVE these, not only do I get a weekend with fabulous friends, I LOVE hanging with Jackie & Katharina.
Oh, then the "big" news, Little Miss fell in the boys room on Thursday night when she was supposed to be sleeping. Anyways, she cut her face open, I had to rush her to the hospital. Needless to say she got stitches. I will post pics of those tomorrow, cause I only took pics on my cell phone and it is totally dead right now. But thank goodness Auntie Jody came to sit with us, not only for company, but just for my own sanity. I didn't hold up too good. Jody brought Ireland & I nice and calm. It sucks seeing your kids hurt and in pain. :((
Well must go get some sleep, tomorrow (or today since I am typing this at 3:30am) is going to be busy. Ireland has a checkup for her stitches to see their healing progress. I have a haircut, & low lights scheduled for the afternoon. 4 hrs of pure excitement! I love getting my hair done. Possibly I might add blonde streaks, never know until I sit in that chair what direction I will go. I LOVE the red low lights, Jim loves me blonde. I'd rather look Like Jager,Jim likes me blonde. see a pattern. I see a compromise in the future. blonde highlights on top, red underneath.
ok, enough babbling, you really don't want to know what other boring stuff I am doing tomorrow, blah blah blah, as Jager would say when I talk to much. I detest that saying. DETEST. a 4 yr old should never say that.
Bon Nuit!
