So are you ready ton make any scraping plans for the fall? If you are we would LOVE to have you. So let me tell you a little about our line up for the fall Sk Scraps.
Brought back by popular demand is Vicki Boutin. Saskatchewan couldn't get enough of her last year!!!!Seriously, so of course we invited her back for more fun, laughter and to teach us a whole bunch of yummy stuff. Vicki is going to be teaching 3 classes again. I've asked her to put together a fun group of her latest greatest choices.
We also are bringing in Cathie Allan. The stamping guru! She can show you how to do things with white cardstock, ink and stamps that you wouldn't have thought were possible. She will be teaching only 1 class this year, but we've hired her to run non stop make n takes! So you will definitely walk away with a bunch of different projects!
I will also teach a layout class.
So some things to talk about:
The theme is
You: a Goddess.
So we are going to decorate the place in hot pink, black, white and silver. We really want it to be bright and colourful and glamourous.
I chose this theme because I think that we are all such amazing women that get so busy in our daily lives and we need to really enjoy being women and celebrate ourselves. So I want this weekend event to be like a little mini getaway. So of course, we are definitely going to have a table decoration/costume contest. We'd love to have you participate if you would like. I know the "housewives" have really been enjoying their victory for the last 3 events, but seriously, is there anyone willing to rock them off their podium??? I think there must be a group out there who can think of something. So I would like to up the ante. If you have any great ideas for prizes, send me an email. I have time to go on a hunt for wicked prizes!!!!
So what are some of the details?

Oh and one exciting thing, anyone who signs up & gets their payment in before July 15th will be put into a draw for a free Making Memories Slice. It won't be the one shown here, instead it will be the limited Edition Breast Cancer one that is pink and comes with a bonus cartridge!!!! cool hey?
This year by crazy popular demand, we have asked Donna from Inspired Designs Boutique to come again. She was sooooo delightful, we simply are excited to have her join us once again. Something new as well, is Christy Riopel from Monday Night Class will be joining us with her kit club. She will be brining kits of all skill levels and $$ amounts for you. If you have never heard of this Canadian Kit club, you will love the convenience of it. They aren't just boxes of supplies, instead they are already designed projects, and you are given all the instructions and materials to create them! I had the honour of being asked to design some this year. So maybe my Bo Bunny one might be available then!
Also something different we are doing is all of our make n takes have always been presented by volunteers or stores attending, for such short periods of time out of their schedules. I appreciate all the work that goes into them!!!!! Last year some of you mentioned that you didn't get to do them as you were in a class. So we decided that as well as having the ones provided by the vendors, we hired Cathie Allan to run them repetitively throughout the weekend for $2/project. We are looking at having her teach us 3 totally different projects. For any of you that have ever sat in on on of her demos or classes you will know how valuable these will be!!!! So we hope that the "toonie takes" will run so much smoother. Of course to give her a break I'm going to do a Tattered Angels project, and maybe something fabulous from Donna again (seriously who doesn't LOVE their ornament???), and Colleen Vassos will be there from Stampin Up! and I'm hoping to snag one more creative designer I totally love to show us a thing or two.
Classes are going to range from 2-3hours. You will be required to bring your basic tool kits, but if anything else is required we will let you know. The teachers are still fine tuning their classes but I hope to share them with you next week. I think you will be very excited. I have mine completed and really am excited because you get to make 4 layouts all vintage with some funky techniques. I will share mine though when all of them are ready to go live.
I am looking at seeing if we can get a visit by a special guest, so I will keep you updated if that is a go.
This year we are also going to do something very fun. Iron Scrapbooker. Christy & I had soooo much fun hamming it up in Calgary for Crop for Kids that we have decided to take the show on the road! So in Saskatoon, we are going to take an hour out to hold this contest again. Of course reigning champ, will be there again to defend her title, me and someone from the audience to do this. How we are going to run it is, anyone who would love to participate in this fun challenge will put their name in a draw box when they arrive. We will be drawing for 4 people. 1 as an "Iron Scrapbooker" and 3 as the "sous-Scrapbookers to be the assistants for all of us. It will be fun!!!!! There will be fabulous prizes. So do you think you have what it takes to be the next IRON SCRAPBOOKER? Also, if competing totally isn't your thing, but would love to create the 3 packages of materials that we work with for the contest, email me. put "Iron Scrapbooker" in the title. I am looking for someone who would want to "create 3 identical kits". Because obviously since I am in the contest I cannot know what we are going to be using to create our 3 projects!!!!
I also have created a few "sketch" challenges to take place over the course of the weekend. And this year fun games!!!!! We are also setting up a "photo area" so you and your girl friends can all gather to take fun goddess photos. Exciting!!!!!
I will try to provide more details for you in the next week or two. Melissa is still working on my new website, but once that is complete, there will be a "folder" where you can find ALL the details about the Sask Scraps event. I will provide tips on packing to be ready for the event, contests, sponsors, teachers, classes, food, etc.
Ok, I am excited. We've had boxes already pouring in for the last 3 months full of product for the goody bags. yummy yummy yummy. Can't wait to see your excitement. I've scored the best stuff ever this year, And I DEFINITELY stand behind that statement. You are going to be able to CARRY your glimmery, blinged out EMBELLISHMENTS everywhere.
Have a fabulous day!
