On the road again.

Right now as you read this we are probably winding the highway into the glorious mountain retreat, where the lodge will soon be filled with the scrapbookers. Men will be running away from this location as it is about to become LOUD and full of crazy women who want to share our wonderful passion. I'm so excited. I love my team, I love this place. This is the most PERFECT way to spend National Scrapbook Day. I hope you have fun this weekend with your peeps. It also marks the beginning of a month long celebration at Tattered Angels Blogs. So, it is almost 1 am, Katharina is in bed, her house is so blissfully silent. I should also go to sleep. After all the weekend will provide none. lol. SO I leave you with a few funny shots of baby girl. Have I ever told you how much I love my family. kisses to my hubbie and kids. they are the best! Last weekend of travel for awhile and I am going to take complete advantage of it. We are going to go on our yearly hikes, to the zoo, the Forrest Background is now open for playdates, we've raked the yard, purged the broken toys. I am so excited. I love this time of year!!!!!Have a fabulous weekend.

and that day flew by...

seriously, glad I packed a week ago, although I did have to repack my clothes choices today because Calgary got snow, and predicting up to 40 cm in the mountain area we are going to. Can you say NO NO NO NO! I want Spring to stick, I want to photograph the signs of spring in the mountains. I want the warmth on my skin, and I want to SCRAPBOOK in tshirt and sweats, no winter parka's to get to the chalet. Although if I stick with Cathie, she may provide me something to keep warm. LOL

But Ireland woke up before 6am, that girl knows how to slow this momma down. so needless to say, we both had to have a nap at noon. I am so glad we did though, I feel refreshed.

Finished all the laundry today (not put away, but at least clean. I feel bad leaving laundry for my mom to do as well as watching my kids. Lord knows they are a busy crew. I also got the kitchen clean, so that is nice to come home to. I'm off to the middle of the mountains, Jim's off to California, the kids are partying with the grandparents and cousins. It never ends in our household. Although, this is my last weekend for a few months of traveling (I think?) so that will be a nice break. Just in time to start 4 days a week of soccer games and baseball practices. Both kids are in both on different teams this year. We are going to be so busy. 

Tonight was FABULOUS though. Riley got to meet his team, get the attire and practise with the Huskie coach. He worked the kids pretty hard, Riley was a sweating. But man he can run, and run, and run, and run. you get where I am going with this. And for those of you that have been around my family my whole life and know how he is more similar to being my brother Steven's child versus Jim's & mine, this you will find funny. His soccer number is (wait for it)...SEVEN. The same as what my brother Steven had his whole life. And Riley didn't choose it, it was given to him. Can you believe the coincidences that keep happening. Freaky. I had to prevent myself from cheering for Steven. The similarities are uncanny.

So I forgot I had some funny pics to share with you. This is on the way to Sam's birthday party. hmm, would you want this kid coming? Apparently he needed to get all his "funnies" out.

Now, princess in her little pink boots. **** she wears them EVERYWHERE**** and knows she is giving the statement of I'm cute. I can't believe how fast her hair is growing. Our little Cindy Lou-Who.
 

Now this kid, he LOVES his cupcakes. It is full passion when he eats them. Do not disturb sign may as well be hung around his neck.
     

And this little pumkin has to lick every little candy piece off first. 



 

And apparently I didn't take any pics of Riley. oops. He must have been acting too normal.

well finally my late plane has landed. off to board. calgary bound for tonight. then the road trip to heaven with my peeps. HAve I told you lately I CANNOT wait. The only thing better would have been if Jackie was with us this year and her family. They are a hoot! Next year.

     

 

I can't believe how fast the day goes by. I am super busy and need more hours everyday!lol. or else less sleep.

well today was hugely productive for me. Working on classes, putting them on my new secured blog. Had a 5 hr website meeting. things are moving PERFECTLY! I ran OUT OF TIME! another meeting tonight and a Norwex party if I can squeeze it in. 

WOW, made me tired writing it.

Update: Made it to the Norwex party late of course, but oh so yummy food & visiting. so definitely glad I went!!!!! Thanks Jenn, even though I didn't order anything. :(( One day I will make it up to you!!!

So 2 days till I am gone for awhile. Is everything done and ready to go? no. but did I meet deadlines? very last minute yes!!!!lol.

I am off to tie up a few loose ends tonight so again the blog has no eye candy. however, hopefully after the weekend I will have lot's! I have a little idea in my head too for Saskatoon and area girls, so I will fine tune that too. 

Can't wait for tomorrow, I get to hang with Karen and secretly pretend I have an English accent like her!lol.

sorry, lack of blogging. too much weighing on my mind right now. 

a little too long of a list that I've now created to start attaining my goals.

 2 weekends till I escape with my fellow Canadian Scrapbooker Magazine team to Bull River. So I have started packing for that. CANNOT wait, one of our new team members is joining us for this team building weekend so that is going to be AWESOME! I have a goal of 40 layouts to get done that weekend, so I simply must prepare so perfectly, cause I still have to bring a suitcase full of class kits for my graphic 45 class I am teaching at the Scrapbook Pantry the following Tuesday.

Packing up tonight 2 of my classes for Peace River. Those girls are super super fun. I can't be there to teach cause I am already booked that weekend, but they still want "Leica" classes, so I am creating something exciting! of course a little extra special, so that they come back for more in the fall.teehee

Today, I left the house with the kids after we walked Riley to the bus. get started early to start recycling, and gathering boxes. I love that some grocery stores give boxes. I went to staples to check out the prices and oh my word. way too expensive. So we scored some great apple boxes, but when I was dumping old newspapers at the recycling center, I spied with my little eye in the container the "perfect" durable box. So I convinced Jager to go in there and get it. He did. he thought it was cool. However the rest of the day he asked if he had to go in any more garbages. I can just imagine what he is going to say at school. But that's ok, I am more than ok with people thinking I am crazy. 

Hopefully tomorrow I can get all our cans and bottles together to take those. 

Anyone who wants scrapbook magazines, I am putting them on my step tomorrow morning. Take one, take all. At the end of the day I will take them in, and recycle them too.

Oh to be as carefree as a child. Ireland found a binkie in the van. and now is sucking it all day. she knows she's funny, she doesn't care. Enjoy the freedom and no responsibilities of childhood. being an adult is far too serious! (but I vow to laugh everyday!!!! or make someone else.)

till I find time on these gorgeous sunny days to blog again. Sorry peeps but I think we are getting more summer right now than we will probably have all year. lol

I'm back!

Hi everyone,

I am back and of course oh so tired. I have lost my voice (shocking I know). But boy did I have a great time. The highlights for me were getting to see my dear friends Katharina Doyle, Cari Locken, & Deanna Hutchinson. That is always nice to be able to hang out and catch up. But the Abbottsford show was really fun. The classes were fun, we had fun in the booth and had lot's of adventures. One night Cari, Katharina & I were whisked away to a charming store in Port Moody, "Cherish your thoughts". This has got to be the most perfect little store that welcomes you in with both arms. It has a little fancy kitchen in it where they serve you lattes & cookies WHILE you shop. Their store is so full of character and little things to always keep looking at. We enjoyed our escape. Then we went out to a Thai restaurant and oh so yummo! I LOVE Thai. It could be my little love for anything coconut, but it was so good.

Did I tell you how beautiful BC was in general. The green green grass, pink magnolia trees everywhere. I LOVE spring. And to arrive home to wonderful weather was such a blessing. I don't want to see snow for at least 7 months!

Upon returning I of course ran into friends at the airport. It is a running joke in our family that I can't step foot in the airport without knowing someone. So far I think out of hundreds of flights only once I didn't know someone. weird. But I ran into Lani & Darren & their dad. So that was cool and Lani told me her sister Marlys just had a baby boy, Chase!!! So congrats Marlys, Chris & Grayson on the little tikes arrival. Can't wait to meet him.

What else to tell? Ireland is calling me daddy all day. I guess since bot of us were gone, she is sure missing her daddy. But the cutest thing ever. When I got off the plane the kids were there with my mom to pick me up and baby girl was sporting some new attire. pink genuine cowboy boots. Oh was this little cowgirl working them too. So I guess that my mom did a little shopping for the kids before they took them to a bull sale yesterday. Too funny. When we saw my brother Shane & Andrea yesterday, Andrea had on boots too so Ireland sure thought that was cute. Oh speaking of which...

I can share some great news. I am going to be an Auntie again. WOOHOO. My brother Shane and Andrea are due in September. So excited. Congrats!!!!

a few sneaks...

I am really stoked about this year because I really focused on 2 things: designing classes that let the consumer walk away with as many completed projects that can be made out of all the supplies. So teaching how to using leftovers in efficient ways while still creating amazing layouts. Walking away with more bang for their buck. Second, I am not colour photocopying my step by step instructions anymore, instead I have started another password protected website where if you purchase a class kit you will be given a code to access the blog and be able to use it. The blog has many colour photos of each and every step. So far it has been a hit with those that took my Mind's Eye class in Calgary. (funny thing I noticed when putting these up, is apparently I am showing you lot's this year how to create journaling strips out of scraps. teehee...my favourite way to journal.) I've also cut down a bit on doing the intense flashy flashy layouts to create more practical ones that teach you how to strategically be able to go home and look at what you have in front of you and be able to create lot's! I still have some WOW ones that are over the top filled with product but I realized that the older my kids get, the busier I am getting which makes me think people want to still scrapbook their photos, keep on top of their life and not spend a fortune. There is a way to continue to have the latest greatest from your local fabulous local store, but let's make the most out of your buck. I've also tried focusing more on designing my layouts to be able to show off multiple photos. So I hope you enjoy some sneaky peaky's...sorry but to see the whole pages you'll have to take a class from me. Hope to see you soon. A little laugh for you...

Well this is how Ireland and I both look in the morning. Poor girl, I think she is going to have my hair.

 

and this is sooooo me only way curlier.yikes. like Jager says, "mommy & Ireland look like lions!"

 

I can't wait till the middle of May, I am going to take some time to really enjoy my kids. 3 more weekends of teaching. Love it Love it Love it, however, I miss the little growing moments.  Our little bean(who is only 21 months!!!! is seriously thinking she is self sufficient.  For the last 3 weeks she has been entertaining the idea that she can go to the potty by herself. So all throughout the day we have alternating times of diaper and potty.On her own even!!!! Good girl!!! When she wants a drink she climbs into the fridge and gets the milk container. no matter how high. So this past weekend I cleaned the fridge out totally and rearranged shelves so all the drinks are on the bottom. If she's going to get it anyways, may as well be a hint safer. But the cutest thing happened today at supper. She actually "gets" eating tacos. She is so careful in how she holds it so it doesn't spill on her. AND she initiates putting on her own bib. this is something she has hated in the past. The best part, she doesn't care what I put in the taco, she eats it!!!

ok enough enough. must go to bed, it is 4:30am, I just finished kitting (well 99%done)for Abbottsford this weekend and I simply must get some sleep. The longest sleep I've had all week is with Ireland during her nap time. So with Jim home tomorrow, he said he would get the kids ready for school so I could sleep till I caught up. seriously the man is the best. and the coolest part is he "GETS" it. HE gets the scrapbook lifestyle of an educator, he supports me, encourages me. HE gets that I work all night so I can be there for the kids in the day. And that is why he lets me sleep in. LOVE him...

Merry Christmas!

First off, I am back from an amazing time spent this week in Alberta with Jackie & Katharina prepping for our next round of webisodes. Have you checked them out? We just released the third one this week.

well, a little while back I mentioned how addicted I am to smells. like for instance, the smell of freshly cut grass...

 

one of my ultimate fave smells!!!! I was immensely looking forward to our first cut. but instead ...

Today was an awful day in Saskatoon. snow, wind, and more snow, wind. even now, 3am, it is strong strong winds and more snow. Everything is covered and actually looks like more snow then we had all winter. My friend Lynn said to me in Calgary a few weeks ago, that Calgary has the shortest Fall, about 6 days. lol. I simply must tell her how short our Spring is.  LOL.

So to please my need to smell freshness today...I did 4 loads of laundry and enjoyed every minute of the Gain smell... yumm. A little caged up today due to the weather, I started cleaning my fridge. uggh! 2 drawers left, the veggie drawers. why is cleaning a fridge so time consuming? stop complaining. It is a mission on the road to an ultimate clean house. hmm. for at least 5 minutes.

So while I was cleaning, I asked the kids what craft they would like to do. (keep them occupied. lol) Create more Easter eggs. well, our Easter tree is still up, so why not. This time we painted them. Can you say disaster? but more laughs and excitement then ever. The kids were covered in paint, Ireland put way too much water on the brush and needless to say, one slight movement, and now we have paint on the kitchen ceiling. AND I had to watch the floor again. Like I said to Jim, washing the floor 4 times in 2 days just was not a part of my game plan. 

So tomorrow, the kids and I are going to play outside and do winter fun!!!! I can't wait. Now, to bring out all the winter clothes that I already washed, packed, and got ready to send to the farm.  

I fly out to Abbottsford for our Canadian Scrapbooker Carnival this week. I can't wait. I LOVE B.C. and I get to go a couple times this year to teach there. Awesome!!! So I am going to try and pack this weekend, so I am ready! cannot wait. All of my shipments have arrived and we are ready to go. funny enough, that being said, UPS apparently still delivers in this weather. Amazing. But I am now a happy girl cause I am surrounded by boxes of scrapbook supplies. 

well I simply must toss one more load in the dryer, and get to bed. Good night!
