last night, we put away the computers, then lied on the trampoline for 2 1/2 hours talking & looking at the stars, laughing & giggling. It was the best best best night ever. We almost fell asleep there, it reminded us of the time we drove to the middle of a field and slept in the back of our truck just for kicks! But we didn't sleep on the tramp cause we figured the kids would wake up, we wouldn't hear them and they would get scared. Ireland now crawls out of her crib and opens her door and comes down whenever she feels like it. So we have been finding her sleeping in funny places lately. Last night we found her with her fav. blankie of course on the couch! seriously she is only 14 months, going on 3.

Today rocked but I will show pics another time. Jim wants to go to bed, so I will share more on Monday. But I have a camera full of smiles awaiting to be talked about. and the circus tomorrow...will the fun never stop?

Day 2.. I survived! long info filled post.

Well today I was only open for 4 hours and still hit 100 people. That is CRAZY! Again, I visited so much I felt like a queen, thanks everyone who brought me food, drinks, JAM (Oh yeah baby this was the best!!!!!)magazines, between the two days. I am surrounded by LOVE! I cannot believe how many people scrapbook! WOW. The talent is here!!!! And I have to say thanks !!!! Now I will take a few days to mend, pack up the leftovers for the charities and be done with it!

So I have been told too often that I neglected my blog this summer. It is so true!!!!!But I can't help it. I Love my family and we LIVED life intensely. we went on adventures, we created our own unique memories. But now that routine is coming back, I will have time. (who am I kidding, I never have extra time... but I make time! Thank goodness I don't watch TV much! LOL

So let's get down to the nitty gritty...Some news some of you might be interested in.

First off, LOVE LOVE LOVE this freaking talented cool girl. So I have to share a little of her nightmare that is going on. Her name is Anam Stubbington, residing in Edmonton and is a real talent.Go to this link to read about her troubles But to summarize, her family moved her from the UK for her husband's job, LOVE it here and never want to go back. However they've abrubtly been given a short amount of time to come up with a huge amount of money. So they are doing everything but are having a little trouble with the last bit and the deadline is severly approaching fast! But I love her and am going to do everything I can to support her in  this ordeal. Also, I was quizzing people at my garage sale all the time about submitting. I can't believe how many of you still don't submit to us!!!1 WHAT? I am in the city of talent that oozes out and you still aren't submitting. so here is how to do it:
Place your fantastic layout on the ground, don't use a flash (so make sure you take the photo in natural light/daytime) and stand over top of it and take it. THEN... email it to [email protected]. Please be clear in the subject heading. for example:Leica Forrest fall 2009  short, clear, to the point. remember don't send huge files all at once. break them up, but don't send teeny weeny that we can't see your beautiful work of art. Do I sound like I am talking too much? well I just am so proud of Canadian talent, I can't help it! And 3 issues came out this week, can you believe it???
 

As you know we completely SOLD OUT of vol. 1 of the basics series, so we did a reprint with NEW LAYOUTS, design, photographs. The only thing is we did keep the step by steps. !!!!, then the regular awesome fall issue, and the cutie patootie on the front Vol.4. I am getting sad that the series is almost done. We release the last vol.5 in the winter :( I LOVED working on these fun issues. But all good things come to an end so new good things can begin...right?

I'm expanding, I'm going to be offering so much more. that's a little bit why I have been absent this summer. Change needs to be done correctly & with so much eye candy. So can't wait to share more about that!!!!!

ok, nighty night. and if you feel like coffee in the am, I'm going to be packing up boxes at the garage sale. (call me first if you are coming so I pick you up coffee!LOL)

oh, and by the way. I missed the drive ins tonight, kids were already in bed. But this is the most wonderful night...seriously.

Jim & I are sitting by the fire,typing on our computers/texting, listening to tunes, enjoying some wine, laughing, telling stories. But ...we are listening to his ipod of all the songs he downloaded that remind him of me.... Have I told you how much I love this dude? and his sense of humour? the songs have put me into mushy mushy mode, to laughing hard, to remembering some "good, not talking about on the blog" times, to first dates, to wedding songs. Our last 12 years in a song montage. He is soooooo funny. He never ceases to amaze me.

Well, I'm off to visit with him. no more computer tonight!

WOW WOW WOW!

This is the first garage sale I have ever had. This was my high hopes...
* I hope 40 people come, I will be sad if I don't get that many.
over 300 came and we lost count! OMG!

*I hope I get to see all my friends- well yes I saw the most fabulous friends , fellow scrapbookers and it was a BLAST!!!!! thank you everyone for coming!!!!!!

*the funniest thing ever was I showed up in my dirty working clothes this morning to set up more stuff. I had people coming ALL the time that I didn't get a chance to come home and get more boxes of embellishments! seriously, I didn't even get a chance to close shop and then open at my actual time of 5-9 pm. I was psycho busy!!!!! So I am home now for a few minutes but I will be probably unloading and pricing again till 3am. That seems to be my routine. And for those of you that were there today, know I give deals!serious. My sister was having a heartattack. I started counting papers, and then would give extra off! Seriously I CAN"T bring it back into my house!!!!! LOL!!! and the best part is I met so many people that run wonderful charities that are geting into scrapbooking so I've decided to contribute to those as well! That makes my heart smile!

And you know I had some of the best talks today that I can't stop smiling. you guys rock!!!!!

The funniest part is some of you came back 3 times! your husbands are going to hate me!!!!the best part was like when there was about 43 women in the garage and on the lawn, and then a whole wack of husbands visiting on the driveway. Too funny! There were comments that they wished we sold hamburgers.!!!!too funny.

So today exceed anything I thought it would be. So I will pack more boxes and take them over and put out new stuff!

SCRAPBOOK SALE!

and truthfully I am giving things away practically. I had too much to hang up so now I've created bins. sorry that you will have to go through them for certain price points, but I have too much! I didn't realize exactly how much patterned paper I have. I love the stuff but I must have well over 3000 papers out, and it has barely made a dent in my collection. yikes!

So I've had a few too many emails asking the following questions, I have to do it this way as I had 92 emails today about my garage sale and I just can't answer each one individually, I am running out of time and oomph, so sorry, please don't think less, I just can't do it all:

*yes, cash only
*about 80 stamps for sale ranging from $1 to my most expensive Fancy Pants that normally retails for $45 being sold for $25. All my major Stampin Up big sets, Gelatins I am selling for $10. probably about 30 alphabet stamps. Close to My HEart & Stampin Up  Inks, as well as other brands. Love them, jsut have doubles.
*no major tools like Zutter, or cutting machines, crop a diles...sorry but somethings a girl can't part with
*cardstock will all be 25cents. (I haven't even moved this over yet, but I will.)
*all patterned paper will be 50 cents. I have hundreds of ones that are specialty that I did mark as a dollar, but I figure since they were $2.50-$4.00 a paper that is still good.
*I am getting rid of Fancy Pants chipboard set & felt sets that sell for $21 for $10.
*everything is marked completely in half or better. for example, if it retails for $6.99 I put it at $3.
*lot's of ribbon, yarn all for a $1. There are few of the big sets that I put at $3.
*rub ons- Luxe, Daisy Bucket, Scenic Route,Basic Grey, We R Memory Keepers, Me & My Big Ideas, KAren Foster, this actaully is a long list. If I used even one letter off of it only, I still marked it down to $1-$2.
*only a handful of brand new thickers I'm selling
*lot's of scenic route & heidi swapp chipboard
*lot's and lot's of chipboard. especially the huge Rusty Pickle alphabet that sells for $24.95...going for $10. alpahbets galore from all sorts of companies
*paper packs going for $3
*no I am not getting rid of Prima or Kaiser craft flowers. can't possibly part with these.
*lot's of stickers, too many in fact
*I will be selling all my favourite paper companies that I teach with as I have an excess, Basic Grey, very little Kaiser, Daisy Bucket, Crate, Cosmo, and so many more.
*only have a few punches left.
*Yes I am getting rid of seasonal papers...LOT'S of Christmas & Halloween.
*yes I have a few kits (stickers, paper, embellishmetns)
*NO I am not selling any of my extra class kits at the sale. I ran out of time to even crack these boxes sorry. But I am considering selling them at the Sask.Scraps event in November since 17 of you asked for old kits. I will keep you up to date on this as I really won't teach them again, so I will probably be getting rid of $30 class kits for half price or less.
*no online orders at this moment, I have no idea how I would start to do this, sorry.
* I've had too many questions about Saturday, if I will open on the weekend. My thoughts are torn on this. I think that I am going to reserve this weekend for family & the circus and we have friends in from out of town to visit. So if need be, I will consider having the sale again on a weekend, but that is undecided at the moment. I do have more boxes to go through so I could continually keep purging(LOL) but definitely won't be happening this weekend. sorry.

I am completely buried in scrapbook supplies. help me! LOL

Ok, here's the low down.
I am exhausted, taking a break, but I see the end in sight. I have to, I have so many classes to prepare!

I am NOT having it at my house, I don't have enough room, so I am securing a location that is much bigger as yes I have too much stuff! I am getting rid of tools, and pretty much everything, new used, not a single price is over wholesale, and in most cases less than wholesale pricing. I won't be bartering as the prices are hideously low already.
Some is older stuff, I will be parting with my "savoured" collector items. (companies that no longer exist) I don't have the room to save these anymore. I will be getting rid of brand new stuff as well.  Lot's of fabulous deals. Everything is name brand of course, that is how I roll! LOL! And please don't remind me that I am selling it, as I might decide to put it back in my house!!!!LOL. Can you say completely utterly addicted. I am a scrapbook store's dream client.

quick update from me...

I am UP to my ears, consumed with getting things lined up for a major scrapbook sale. I can't believe I have this much stuff!!!!! no wonder I am always bugged. So I have decided that since I am 90% caught up on my personal albums and only have my brother's wedding to scrap & finish our Hawaii albums. I am going to get rid of as much as I can. I have completely filed and sorted my upstairs wall unit, I am PREPARED for some major fall/winter scrapping! LOL.

I can tell you a little something about my stuff I'm selling, I am addicted to the latest and greatest! and I have 3 boxes full of things so far still in their packaging unopened. yikes! I have another 2 boxes filled with things that are missing only 1 or 2 pieces out of, in some cases only 1 letter off the alpha thickers. I have already gotten a huge box that houses we are guessing about 1000 pp sheets. and it doesn't stop there. I also have hundreds of stamps I'm getting rid of. And I've decided that I HATE garage sales, I always have, because I hate the act of bartering in price. So to prevent this, I have marked every thing 50-70% off retail price. I just want it gone, out of my house, (so I can have room for new stuff...LOL, did I say that outloud Jim?)  just kidding. this is where I am wondering what  to do, should I put cardstock out there? I can't part with my Prism or Coredinations but I do have lot's of other brands. Is this something people would want? Let me know. Also I have so much ribbon, I have no idea how to begin getting rid of it. Do you think if I packaged it in bags or jars it would be a good idea? I think if it is loose that just asks for trouble! Anyways, I will give you plenty of notice as to what day I will have this sale, so you can be prepared. I just am not sure how long it will keep taking me to get it ready. I'm aiming to be done by Wednesday. So if you don't hear from me by then, send a search party...I'll be the crazy girl under the mound of colourful embellishments. (or else Jim has put a hit on me for getting sparkles on his pool table...we all know how much he LOVES to sparkle.

So completely different topic, since it is 5 am why not blog hey? We went up to the lake, little disappointing because we wanted to get in some good boating at Candle & Waskesiu but wayyyyy too cold and rainy for the thought of that. So instead we went up just for the wedding and stayed the night. The wedding was right on the beach and had such neat touches, vases of cattails, everything was shell themed, the flowers were stunning....the day was so cold and it rained the whole time. But ironically even though we sat outside in the rain watching the wedding, no one complained and I don't remember really feeling wet. They were just so cute, lot's of smoochy woochies according to Jager. It was neat to see people we haven't seen in so long.But on this side of the family there is always fun stories to tell, people that have a little wild side. the cops showed up to the party and everyone cheered and hooted and hollered as they pretended to take the bride away. they handcuffed her and they posed with the couple. way too funny! gotta love small towns!Jager danced and danced.The reception was in Jim's cousins huge yard so it was nice and safe to let the kids play and wander around. But the story I have to tell from the weekend was that I pulled a bit of a primadonna behaviour. WE showed up to the cabins we had rented to stay the weekend, and oh my good gracious...the word CONDEMN comes to mind. Definitely more bugs in ouyr bathroom then outside. half of the room was level, then it literally went downhill. baby girl was walking and then fell and rolled. NO LIE! one bed was level, one was so slanted it hurt. I could go on and on. and these rooms weren't like $40 rooms.  they were $130 or $140 plus tax. kidding me. Well, I did a little phoning around, and with amazing luck got us into a place that we have stayed at before and have LOVED! So the owner felt bad that we had the intention of staying at this other unsanitary place with small children that he gave us the 2 storey, 3 bedroom condos normally $300/night (including tax) for $99. Of course I said yes! How super sweet. They sure took care of us, and we appreciated it! After being in the rain all day, it was so nice to come back to somewhere safe and clean and sit in a hot bath!awesome. Definitely recommend Ship's LAntern condo's. They are even waterfront and you can see your boat right in front of the place. nice.

Well, I am tired, have a million things to do tomorrow...laundry, clean out van (mud everywhere!!!!) and continue to get ready for the scrapsale of the century.  hope everyone is doing fabby!

loving summer & my kids.

I can't imagine a life without kids, seriously. They drive me nuts, they make me smile, they make me feel like life has such a purpose. I've just had such an amazing summer with them, such a growing period, seeing Ireland running, climbing, a girl with NO FEAR. She is braver than either of the boys. She is such an individual, who must sleep alone and at her exact sleep times. The boys are becoming more creative, actually building things. I love summer!

and yes she can climb to the top of the slide to go down it again! Love when they start doing this!!!!grrrrrr.

Last weekend we had an anniversary party for my inlaws. we had an Elvis impersonator there. He was good. Jager swears it is the real Elvis. Of course my kids KNOW Elivs, as they hear it everyday!!!LOL!

Then my mother in law was handcuffed.

and I went back and counted cause it made me laugh, 32 of you sent me an email asking if I had met THE Tim Holtz, well yes yes I did. and he is a joy!amazingly creative.

Well today just was nice for me. Awesome conversation with my "boss" Jackie Ludlage, I hate using that word because her & katharina have become such great friends and are so real that saying "boss" makes them sound old and mean. Which they are so the opposite. She drove down we discussed CHA, we did some good story telling and had some laughs. What fun! what a perfect day! I wish you lived closer!!!!

Bo Bunny had lot's of fun stuff. Jeri always is a pleasure to talk to. a few things caught my eye. such as these cute bling items. I loved the spice buttons. cool colour combo!  I LOVE the Bohemian rub ons & 2 cute 2 spook.! They rock!!!! But my fave staple is going to be the double dot paper  again. This is just really cool!!!!

I am a huge fan of jenni bowlin product, there is nothing I don't use.So to see her pair up to release this first collection (and here's a secret I'm spilling, Mindy told me that they are already working on another release with Jenni!) SWEEEEEEEEEEET!

I did notice that with this recession it has affected quite a few companies. Sadly lot's of shut down, sad to see Luxe go, I did love their stuff. I do have some for the goody bags for the November event, so it will be collector's items now! And at my garage sale I am selling never before used Luxe stamps!

the weirdest thing was, Memory Makers Magazine closed but they bought out Creating Keepsakes. So now Memory Makers owns Creating Keepsakes. I wonder if their look will stay the same? hmmm. food for thought.

I am sad that Scrapbook Trends has decided not to ship to Canada anymore. I enjoyed that little read, (and the fact that 5 of my friends were a part of it.  Don't you love to see people you know in the magazine? that is why I am so passionate about our mag, Canadian Scrapbooker Magazine, I LOVE to see  people I know!!!! I am so fortunate to know EXTREMELY talented scrapbookers, AWESOME!!!!!

okay, well, I must go. I will blog more this week with new photos from the lake, our Elvis encounter, my mother in law in handcuffs (you heard right...teehee) and of course my oh so yummy kids. Let's start today off with some Glitz Designs. Now these girls are oh so fun!!!! It was a party in there booth. Such eye candy on the walls, fun tshirts we had a blast with them. And hey, if you are lucky enough to be taking my classes in Calgary or Edmonton you will get to make this fun 2pg layout. So of course my big excitement was going to the Kaiser Craft booth. It just felt so like home for me. Years ago before I was married, I taught school in Australia. I taught at Roslyn Primary School in Geelong, Australia. A very quaint oceanside town that was close to Melbourne. I LOVED it, if I wasn't dating Jim I would never have come home. sorry mom and dad but I DID LOVE it there. I met the best of friends, and lived my dream life. I am addicted to oceans, water, tropical . I could go on forever. Anyways, total neat thing happened, I started a neat relationship through the phone and email with some cool people at Kaiser. Melissa & Mick. It was like a neat catch up of my "piece of heaven location". Kaisercraft is located in Geelong.  For as much as we have chatted and they have sponsored me, I feel like I have known them forever. So when I got to the booth we didn't even talk scrapbooking. can you imagine, I am immersed in a booth full of eye candy and we are catching up on common ground and goofing around taking photos. HIGHLIGHT of my day!!!! I'm hoping Melissa got some good photos, mine were all blurry! we were too busy being silly. oops! what to do when you can't stop having fun???

So naturally I was drawn to this line first!!!! Take me away to the land of oceans and sand.



they have 3 more lines as well, these were just my top 3. But the thing about Kaiser that keeps drawing me in, is their little touches, the beyond the page products. I have made so many recipe boxes, desk top calendars, recipe stands, mini albums for friends that it is not even funny. I am doing 3 more for friends right now!LOL. I think it is a perfect gift.
love their wooden embellishments. here is my fave for the moment, but oh there is so much more. I have taught 15 classes featuring KAisercraft so far, and the quality and design of the product is always so loved!
Their last release had so many exciting things as well. I can't wait to get my hands on this cutie Mam Babushka line. It reminds me of my late gramma so much!!!!!! she always gave us these little dolls. LOVE THEM!

Okay, I have to go, I made a drastic move at Home Depot today, came back with enough cut wood to create a huge armoir for my scrapbook supplies for upstairs. Off to do some smoochy woochy with Jim to get him to build this for me. Oh the man has patience! Thank GOD he blessed me with this fabulous husband! But picture it, a huge 4ftx8ft armoir with 40 paper divisions, possibly a ribbon dowel (that might be pushing it!LOL) and shelves galore to put my storage conatiners in. So those of you have been to my house, this could really make that area smashing hey??? Jim has little faith, he thinks that he will probably be building me another one in 6 months. Oh and he has informed that I will be having a garage sale of any scrapbook supplies I haven't used this year. So my goal is to do that the end of August or the beginning of September. I do want to stay married! and Trisha was telling me that it was the best thing she did, get rid of the old to make room for the new. LOL!
