Well the registration went off successfully, we have a few spots left. I am 300 people away from hitting 100 000 visitors on my blog so let's
CELEBRATE!!!!! how do we do that??? we have a ...
Contest!!!!!
Now is the time that we start gathering sponsor prizes and goody bag stuff for the crop and of course we are always looking for ideas of what people like, so we thought why not have a contest to get suggestions from people and give away something big. So every day till Friday we will have a new question, and you can answer everyday till Friday to get more than one entry. The prize will be FREE entrance to the Saskatchewan crop for you & a friend. (If you already registered you can still enter, and you will be refunded your fee) Now if you live far away and wouldn't be coming, then we will send you a retail basket equivalent to value of the crop prize!!!approx. $250. Everyone is eligible for this! So we will give you all the questions today so you can think on them but only answer the question of the day on the right day to be eligible for multiple entries.
So today's question is this:
In the comment area leave your top 10 items that you think would be the best scrapbook prize ever to receive or your favourite scrapbook companies.
*** Cheryl you are right, I did think it was Monday! LOL!, see I lose my mind all the time, so I will combine 2 questions.
Wednesday's question: What techniques would you like to see shown at a make n take table?
Thursday: What theme do you think we should have? or no theme? We would love suggestions on how to decorate!!!something fun!!!!!
Friday: What do you think the ultimate MAIN prize to give away at a crop would be? Last year we had a Digital Rebel camera kit with lens. (retail value: $900)
I LOVE giving away prizes!!!! (my husband wishes I would give them away sooner as I have 8 boxes already collected and he said Nov. is way too far away to keep them!LOL!!!!)
************************************************************************************************************************
Ok, let's move on to some fun stuff. What's new with us? Well I spent almost everyday painting my brother's basement, and boy is it looking great. I would love to just curl up and soak in his HUGE jaccuzzi tub forever!!!!! Then we spent the weekend at the lake and had a blast!!!!! Lot's of photos, boating, visiting and I scrapbooked my heart out!!!! The Just Cre8 kit this month was my FAVOURITE so far evah!!!!!
Here is the July kits:
Cre8ive pack
Scrap Pack (smaller version)
And they have free shipping on all stamp orders right now! Awesome!!!! In this one kit, I made 11 layouts so far (with 1 more still pending)5 cards and 2 tags, and have a smidge left over to do something with. Total bang for your buck, and some cool stamps & the digital elements below. I didn't use any of these on my layouts as I am cre8ing a Kaiser Craft recipe box right now, and it is going to be filled with these fabulous little cards!!!!!
So want to see some layouts????? I'll post some from this kit everyday this week. Also, I had a blast because I got new photos back from Lisa Landrie (shutterbug photos) seriously OMG love them!!!!I'll show some everyday too.
So this photo shoot was all about capturing the kids as they are, no formality, total relax whatever they do. It was great! fun and always lot's of laughs. This year for me is all about capturing their individuality.
Jager showing his moola.
She was able to capture Riley in his true unaware of himself stage. He is often just taking things in at a distance and then goes and tries it out. So for her to have captured this innocence is truly my favourite!!!!!
brothers at their finest!!!! especially Jager, notice anything??? well I wouldn't expect anything else out of him!LOL!!!!
ok, gotta go, a mountain of laundry awaits!!! and you know I give up anything to spend quality time doing laundry!!LOL! well, its better to make it feel like fun cause it is a chore that is never going away!!!!
come back tomorrow and enter the contest again!

For the Thursday question:
How about a Shabby Chic theme? A little vintage elegance can be achieved without spending too much money, and you could have Paris is Saskatchewan!
Posted by: Peggy Pilgrim | June 19, 2009 at 10:36 AM
Let's see a theme?
Well a Luau in the Fall could be fun. Go tropical.
Or have Mardi Gras in Nov. You could set up a mock New Orleans...have masks, beads,
Oh, Cinco de Mayo in November...Sombreoes and pinatas.
I love fun themes...everyone will expect autumn leaves and pumkins and turkeys...so much more fun to be nonsensical and go way out in left field with something unexpected.
Have a great time whatever you decide.

the two techniques that I would like to see is stitching.. can you use your sewing machine? or is by hand better... or what about doodling.. love doodled on layouts ... but they look so put together... mine never look as cool and neat... so maybe there is a "way" of doodling and I need to learn it!!!
Posted by: kari | June 17, 2009 at 12:18 PM
Congratulations!! You must be getting very close now to hitting your target visitor count!! WOOOHOOO!! So...make and takes. I think at the Stampin Up table, it would be great to see them use there big shot along with inks on the folders. Maybe another good technique would be how tie the perfect knot or bows? This is so much fun!!!
Posted by: TanyaW | June 17, 2009 at 10:46 AM
Today is wednesday so the question has changed. But i dont really know????? stamping...that is something i would like to learn
Posted by: Michelle | June 17, 2009 at 10:40 AM
I would love to see inking techniques on a make and take...tags techniques are always cool, and can be used on cards or pages.
Posted by: Mel | June 17, 2009 at 10:26 AM
Now, for tutorials I'd like to see at the make n take table.... tips on how to use glimmer mist and stickles, demos for new tools ie. maybe make a little coaster book with the binderie or something, and maybe a doodling tutorial, since you're so good at it.
Posted by: Kelly Malacko | June 17, 2009 at 09:28 AM
so - it's wednesday and the question is what to show at the make/take/demo table. loved the tag that shown last year with the inking blending tool. loved the alcohol demo the time before. the stampin' up gals cards are amazing!
i'd love to see mica paints demo'd. or what to do with perfect pearls. maybe what to do with flower soft, or foiling. maybe some peel off demos from magenta?
a new technique, or an old one in a fresh new way. whatever it is, i'm sure it'll be fantastic!
Thanks Leica!
