So this is the snow storm in Calgary! Keep in mind, when I arrived in Calgary it was warm, great spring weather. I woke up to inches of snow, and over the day they actually had gotten 22 cm of snow. The weather did warm up and melted it all away over the next few days, so we did have a great drive home.
finally, the day has cleared and I can start to attend the warehouse event!
yes, just to clarify, this is the publisher , Katharina Doyle, of Canadian Scrapbooker Magazine, licking the snow on my minivan. Crazy girl!!! We had a blast together this weekend, so it's cool to have just another funny moment memory to keep.
This is the best part of my blog, I get to see some awesome work from YOU guys! And let me tell you, my email inbox was full of them like over 45 entries just recently. So what I am going to do is EVERYONE that sent me stuff is going to be entered but from now on any 8 1/2x 11's are going to be shown next week because I am going to dedicate all next week to that size ! (you will still get the entry though) Cool hey?
So let's start sharing some stuff. I realized that I do have to wait for friends to send me pics from the weekend because I virtually have none. I was too busy with the change of plans that I didn't take pics. Sorry so friends out there...send me some to show these cool people!
First off, JenMarie.
isn't this a cute card?
this card is so elegant, soft & beautiful!
Next up is Sarah MacKenzie None of Sarah's I could insert because I needed either a GIF, JPG or PNG. and I don't know how to convert what she sent to those. So I will see if I can get some help today but until then check out her site, it is cool and her little boy is adorable!
Next is Dena.this girl cracks me up, actually her sister too! They are so much fun and delightful girls. I think that her work is pretty awesome! And I'm so glad she sent this to me. She just learned how to take a picture of her work and send it in an email, so I am so proud of her! I love meeting people and seeing their work. Then I ask, have you submitted any? No, of course not. It's not good enough. But I think that we judge ourselves way too hard. So I know for a few of the people that sent me their stuff the last 2 weeks, it was their first time, and it's a step. Now forward to Canadian Scrapbooker Magazine!
Hey, I just wanted to say thanks for the great class that I took at the Calgary Camp Croppin'. I got your email in regards to the Luxe class. I took the "Transparently Yours" class and was so impressed with it. Your ideas on working with Transparencies were awesome. I have never worked with them and never really understood how it would work that well. I have to say I learned lots about how wrong I was and loved the class. You also had great ideas about thinking "out of the box" which is great for a beginner scrapbooker.
That was my first "camp" and I loved it. I showed you some of my work and you were so honest and helped me to understand why I was roadblocking myself. I showed my husband what I finished in the class and he was very impressed with what I had finished (and that is saying alot since he is a computer programmer). I just wanted to say thanks for the opportunity and will look forward to future classes that I can take from you!!..
:)

Hey Leica! Thanks for the wonderful comments about my work. I do have to say, I forgot to tell you, that some of my layouts have been scraplifted, I just can't remember which ones of this group, if any! I didn't know I would be 'published'!!! So if any of your 'followers' out there see a startling resemblance to their work, sorry for the ommission on your name, and thanks for the great ideas!
