quick note to those that knew my gramma. Her funeral is on Thursday @ 1:30 at Mayfair Church.
OKay, so here's the rest of what I did Saturday, I still didn't finish the one, but when I return hopefully, and then I'll show it.
that one is so busy, love combining these crazy busy patterns. It's funny but I made that "square" grouping and mounted it on a coordinating solid colour and it NEVER worked no matter the colour. It really drowned it. Then by chance I set it on the stripes and then it popped. I think my friends & I would never have believed it, but it was the ultimate choice.
I LOVE this line. such great colour combo. And I liked using flowers on this page. they still seem boyish, masculine. Of course the new Core D'inations cardstock. I have has the best 3 weeks playing with that line. I went through an entire collection package that was sent to me to try. No joke! Now I've been waiting for a week to get some more colours! like waiting for your hair to grow. At least I leave for Calgary tomorrow, so I'll be stocking up the minivan! LOL!
this was a simple one, a little tone on tone colour layering. I really like doing that and then adding a little splash of colour in the complimenting colours. old pictures but trying to catch each boys', ours & grandparents albums up before little bambino arrives.
Actually, I am really getting a lot achieved lately! And I know it's because I've had some very uber cool friends motivating me. And it has taken my mind off things. So with those 2 thoughts in mind, I'm so crazy excited to go to Calgary tomorrow. A little sad that I will miss my gramma's funeral, but if they post pone it so that my brother Steven & I both make it, then my aunt from New Mexico misses it, and so does my brother Shane & Andrea because they are in San Francisco. So that's the breaks, but I think the time I spent with her living was what I want to think about the most. funerals are so depressing and truthfully I've had a fair share and so have my kids for now. I think they are a little overwhelmed. Riley asked my gramma Elliott if daddy (JIm) was going to die. She said not for a super long time, when he's old. Riley's response was "good, because who would change the lightbulbs and fix all the broken stuff?" he continued on a bit but I can't remember it directly, but how funny is that?
So Calgary, Camp Croppin, the event of the year (besides the cruise) is 300+ ladies full of energy ready to marathon scrap. I just got my email for my TV segments, one is a little early, before 7am!(Jim laughed at me finding this so amusing!) but the rest are reasonable. I might just need some java! But I get to be reunited with friends & associates that I see so little of. CANNOT wait! So if I have access to a computer, I'll update, if not, you know me, I'll report next week all the yummies for you guys.
Okay, must go, I should get some sleep. Have a great week guys!
Hey Leica, of course I enjoyed meeting the celebrity guest presenter for Luxe the most! I loved the new black and white product, and went to both classes. Can't wait to use the books we made to scrapbook our Camp Croppin' experience.
Thanks for the great photo op, it'll go right with Stacy Julian and Lisa Bearnson's photos. Leica is deLuxe!
