So what another great weekend we are having so far. Jim & I are totally spring cleaning everything, getting our house ready for baby & spring and apparently I guess my husband is now becoming a woodworker. He's been playing and investing in saws and practicing as he is now going to build things. Crazy, but I guess it might be his new interest. And I'm actually a fan of the idea as I have so many ideas for storage to be built. But he has just as many plans too, so we'll see where this adventure takes us. Anyways, in order to win a copy of CANADIAN SCRAPBOOKER MAGAZINE you just have to tell me what you love about spring. Or show us a spring layout or card, or What you are looking forward to doing, maybe activities you are excited for. Anything goes. and I will make the draw on Friday. Enter as many times as you like. I think the prize is great so the more chances the better. Also I created so many layouts last night so I will spend this week showing new layouts layouts and more layouts! Sweet.
Have a great weekend.
I love the little puddle rivers that you can race sticks down. My 5 year old has been anxiously waiting for them!

This has been the worst winter we've had since 1968 and I'm definitely ready for Spring! My favorite part of Spring is seeing all the Spring flowers in bloom as my favorite flowers are among them (tulips, daffodils, & lilacs:) I want to see green grass again that isn't buried under all this snow. Bring it on, Mr. Sunshine!

Ahh Spring. I love seeing my garden slowly coming to life. Currently it's under about another 6 inches of snow, but I know in a few weeks that will all be gone and I'll be able to enjoy the new growth. I love the flowers and the new growth.

I love the smell of spring rain

Hey Leica, wanna know how crazy and wierd I am?? What i love about spring is the smell! It smells so fresh outside in the spring, I guess it must be all the snow melting! Call me wierd! I guess I must have a strong sense of smell, because when I go to Maui, the smell is my favorite thing, so tropical!
Wanna know what i hate?? THe water, so then my adventurous, curious daughter runs through it and ends up soaked!

Hey Leica! This is TOTALLY the farm girl in me but I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the smell of the air on the farm when the corrals are melting, if you know what I mean! To me, it smells so fresh & so spring!

I LOVE the thought of getting into the yard and getting flowers planted! Also, the first time you can walk thru the grss with bare feet feels so good! My daughter (14 months) will be walking in the grass for the first time ever, so I will be sure to scrap about it...

Spring activities this year will include ripping out flooring and painting...YES WE ARE HOMEOWNERS AGAIN!!! Feels good but what a disgustingly stressful week. My wedding was less stressful and giving birth to our son was less painful. So good to be home again and reading your blog!

I love the colours, but the best part of spring is getting rid of the snow. In Lake Louise, you love winter, but you also love to see the snow melt bcs. the winters are SO long :)

I love the first signs of Spring...the ones that appear in the midst of winter and give you a magical taste of what's around the corner. I had my first 'sign' last week. I was driving to work and saw a huge group of Canadian Geese on the river...I'm always so sad to see them leave but so happy when they return!

OHMYGOSH, your Jim sounds just like my Jim - mine has been buying saws and woodworking "stuff" like crazy so I have been having him make me "things" - I show a few of them on my blog! I'm the U.S. so don't know if I qualify for your magazine subscription, but I'd sure love it!
Spring means winter is finally over and we can start spring cleaning!

what i love about spring is when the snow is starting to melt and get warmer, there is a freshness to the air and a feeling of something new.

Well, the best thing about SPRING is that winter is over and summer is around the corner!! This spring will be especially exciting for me/us (Brent and I). Our inside reno's will be done, so we get to do some landscaping which will involving establishing flower beds and building our deck and hopefully paragola.
Can't forget the wedding is in September, so spring will bring our Engagement party that my mom just surprised us with (her health hasn't been good, so that's why she is having it so long after the actually engagement), showers, stagettes and stags - all good times with family and friends - all are certian to produce awesome pics for scrapping!!
Cheers, i can't wait for the snow to melt!!

Hey, Leica! This is the farm woman in me - I love to drove down the road and look down the rows in the field just as the crop is peeking out of the ground. I also love finding my perenials in the garden as they attempt to find heat and sunlight. Can't wait for the warm weather - it is still quite cold and windy/miserable here in Manitoba. Looking forward to seeing your new layouts. Lisa (Jill's sister)

I love spring because the air smells so fresh, the flowers are beautiful and there is so much green.

I like the life that's getting back into the garden: birds singing, flowers growing, sun shining, etc.
