driving around today, everything was melting... I LOVED it! Is this for real, is Spring really coming? What is the best thing you are looking forward too? for me, it is the first sign of the crocuses popping out. I missed them last year cause it was so yucky. I'm hoping to see them this year.
so what's new in our corner of the world. baby girl is really into squats. she stands (on her own) then sits, then stands, then sits. IT is wicked. She had taken a few steps, but always quickly sits, she's not sure of that idea, but loves to stand. she is getting so brave that remember I told you once about her "perch". the coffee table. To recap, she thinks the top of the table is hers, she crawls up onto it and will sit there for hours. if there is anything on it, she throws it off, and one day I had a heavy box of scrapbook supplies, and she growled at it till we took it off. So long story, get to the point, she now stands on her perch and is soooooo proud of herself for this as now she becomes as tall as riley and loves it!
she is sooo happy with herself! I LOVE this about her. she can totally make herself happy.
So wasn't today fabulous??? so warm, I loved walking outside today. I am so ready for spring, excited for the melting. time to play at the park. it seemed like there just wasn't enough nice winter days for the kids to play outside this year. So welcome spring!
So I sat working on the blogs for this week, I realized that I have lot's of layouts to show that you have never seen. so let's get started...
This layout started out with plain white paper, I took one ink colour and sponged the entire back to create the tonal colour of the background. Then I took a subtle daisy stamp and stamped all over the background. Then I knew I wanted that garden feel to make the page fun, brighter. So then I stamped with gelatins "Big & Wild Things" on the background. Then I grabbed my favourite Daisy bucket pp, and started to create layers of colour. This particular line complimented the sheet. added some journaling, embellishments, and voila!
very simple layout. Kaiser Craft pp layered, very minimal bling, flowers and inking. I wanted the focus on the brilliant picture. Love this pic!
if you like these cards, check back on Mar.31 and I will put the link up for you to see more about masking and other designs.
have a wonderful spring day tomorrow!
OMG what a little sweetie pie she is. Amazing that you caught her standing as they usually sit down as soon as they see the camera!!
